On July 15, 2018 (postponed to September 23rd) Albese Con Cassano (Como, Italy) will remember the local champ Fabio Casartelli 23 years later his fatal crash during the Tour de France 15th stage.
Alongside the Mediofondo 20th edition, the “Fabio Casartelli” Foundation has planned for the third year in a row a 58-km Randonnee, on the same Mediofondo short route to gather to all 4fun riders of both gender. All participants compete on the over 10.000 € jackpot aggregate with the Mediofondo one.
As well as the Mediofondo – that reserves for the competitive riders the Bellagio-Ghisallo and the Wall of Sormano uphill time – the Randonnee is completely dedicated to families as official registration is not required, while e-bikes are also admitted to race.
Registration fee is 25 € from May 5th to May 31st, 2018; 30 € from June 1st to June 30th, 2018; 40 € from July 1st to July 14th, 2018; 50 € on the day of the event. The fee includes race pack, technical and medical assistance, pasta-party voucher and insurance coverage. As ever, the “Fabio Casartelli” Foundation will devolve part of profits to charity.
